Finca Piedras Andinas Malbec 2013
100% Malbec. Dense colour, youthful rim, fine expression of berry fruit, blackcurrants and blackberries with an autumnal briary aroma. Quite discreet (for a Malbec) on the nose, with attractive freshness of ripe berry fruit, whilst not over-powering. Youthful and spicy fruit on the palate, with natural tannins and oak well blended in with good structure and weight.
Finca Piedras Andinas is a boutique-style bodega family-run business set in the Uco Valley, which is currently one of the most famous and important wine regions in Argentina. The fortuitous combination of high altitude, alluvial soils, irrigation, more than 250 sunny days per year, low rainfall and a wide temperature range provide the essence and ideal microclimate for vine cultivation and the development of grapes from distinguished quality.
