Vinification: Grapes were machine harvested, gently destemmed and crushed. Protective anaerobic techniques were used. Following cold settling the resultant juice was filtered prior to a long cool fermentation using neutral yeast.

Lychee, peach and guava are the predominant aromas that make up this appealing gewürztraminer. Cinnamon spice and Turkish delight characteristics compliment these aromas to form a highly aromatic flavoursome wine with a lingering palate.

Hunter's is the dream of Ernie and Jane Hunter - a fiercely independent, family-owned winery established in Marlborough over 30 years ago.
When Irishman Ernie Hunter arrived in New Zealand Marlborough had not even been considered as a potential wine growing region. The land was primarily used for farming: growing lucerne, barley and grazing sheep.
Only five years after producing his first six award-winning wines (the first six Hunter’s Wines to emerge) Ernie was tragically killed in a motor accident. Jane, herself a highly qualified viticulturist, took over the reigns immediately. Through her strong determination, she resolved to build on the vineyard's proven potential and success.
Jane is now an internationally respected vintner and recipient of the prestigious UK Women in Wine Award and has an OBE.
