Technical sheet:

Grape Variety: 100% White Canelli Moscato

Country: Italy

Region: Piedmont

Appellation: Moscato d'Asti

Vinification: Picked into small packing cases, they were first lightly crushed before pressing and then remained in the press for a brief period to favor the absorption of the aromas by the must. A clean must was obtained by a natural static settling which eliminated the impurities. The fermentation then began, which went forward until 5° of alcohol were reached and was interrupted by refrigerating the must. The final phase consisted of the fining, the filtration, and the bottling of the finished wine.

TASTING NOTES:

"This is the nicest alcoholic soda pop ever. Sparkly and fresh with some lovely sweetness that will leave you begging for more. A thirst quencher that is dangerous but for all the right reasons." - Team TFW

An intense straw yellow in color, the wine shows a musky nose with additional notes of hawthorn and acacia honey. On the palate it is full, dense, vigorous, and elegant with a fresh, balanced, and pleasurable finish. Serve, at 10° centigrade (50° Fahrenheit), with fresh fruit (excellent with strawberries, peaches, and berry fruit in an infusion), fruitcake, cookies and sweet biscuits or other types of dry pastry.

Prunotto is located in Alba, the most important focal point of the Langhe, equidistant from Barbaresco and Barolo, on the right bank of the Tanaro River. The property sits on a smooth plain surrounded by vineyards of the Langhe and Roero regions. It is immersed in a countryside which seduces with the natural beauty of its surrounding hills alternating with small sloping valleys which are gently woven between the hillocks.

In fact, the company, consisting of a total of 50 hectares, has vineyards in the best wine-producing areas of the Piemonte and has a wine-producing facility equipped with the most modern technology available.
