The Flying Winemaker is an award-winning producer of both classic and alternative wine styles from Australia and New Zealand's finest terroirs.
The Flying Winemaker: Winemaking without borders while ultimately aiming to express the honest flavours of individual grape varietals. Each wine produced under this range is a benchmark example of grape, place, and maker. With an ambitious and pioneering spirit, we thrive on discovering and expressing the finest terroir — getting the best from every grape with minimal intervention. The results are exceptional wines, crafted with passion and precision so you too can experience the journey, one sip at a time!
Eddie McDougall Wines: To recognize the region where he produces most of his wines, Eddie McDougall decided the most suitable logo for his wines made there would be a gold foil crown. Eddie is not claiming to be the king but he wants the world to know something about the prestige of the region where his wines hail from. Being proud of King Valley, and excited by its Italian heritage, Eddie continues to source grapes from top growers in the region in order to produce wines that are genuinely approachable and definitive of the region’s varietals.
Gladstone Vineyard: Gladstone Vineyard has an established reputation as a quality boutique wine producer, making award-winning wines of finesse and complexity. The Gladstone district in the Wairarapa, New Zealand is a fast-growing wine area, as winemakers realise the potential of soil and climate that produce low yielding rich concentrated grapes. We believe that the most important part of winemaking occurs in the vineyard. Grapes are managed with great care, ensuring the best possible fruit is brought to the winery at harvest. The wines express the season, the soil and the area – the terroir. The Gladstone style is aromatic, fresh and varietal.
